Excella wins contract with U.S. Parole Commission for document management analysis

Excella is excited to announce that it has recently won a contract to perform Information Technology Support Services for the United States Parole Commission (USPC), a component of the Department of Justice (DOJ). The Excella team will assist the USPC in evaluating their business and technical requirements for an Electronic Parole Management System (EPMS). EPMS will be a paperless document management system that will track the status of parole-related documents, maintain a digital copy of these documents for easy and secure access, and provide workflow/audit trail information currently unavailable to the USPC. The EPMS analysis initiative includes:

  • Defining and validating the USPC’s requirements for a paperless case/document management system.
  • Analyzing the Commission’s current paper-based processes and workflow.
  • Understanding the non-USPC stakeholder needs, including those at Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Attorneys, U.S. Marshals Service, Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency and the Public Defender Service.
  • Identifying areas for operational improvements and efficiencies through the implementation of the EPMS.
  • Presenting the findings of the analysis, identifying alternative solutions/approaches, and recommending the best EPMS solution/approach choice for USPC.

Excella is proud to add the EPMS project to the list of initiatives it has successfully supported and delivered within DOJ including HSPD-12, PKI, and cross-agency projects like Litigation Case Management System and the Consolidated Debt Collection System. In addition to Excella’s impressive track record of success at DOJ, this work was also won based upon Excella’s experience in managing the implementation of the electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) project for the Office of Personnel Management over the past 4 years.
