Sean Killeen is an industry expert regularly speaking at national/regional conferences and meetups. He is a Registered Education Professional with The Scrum Alliance as a trainer for the CSD certification, and with ICAgile as a trainer for their Agile Testing & Automation (ICP-TST/ICP-ATA) certifications. He is one of the earliest members of the .NET Foundation.

These professionals actively contribute to and support the developer and startup ecosystems around the world, helping them build and launch highly innovative apps. Nearly 800 Experts represent 18+ Google technologies around the world!

Doguhan Uluca is a published author and a GDE in two areas, Web Technologies and Angular. In order to become a GDE, Doguhan demonstrated his expertise through speaking, creating content, contributing to open-source code, and mentoring others in the community. Being a GDE helps Doguhan advise Excella’s partners in short and long-term decision-making due to his extensive insider knowledge into the development of new tools and technology. The Leadership Center for Excellence is a regional non-profit that brings leadership research and training to participants at all career levels to help people change themselves, the community and the world.  The 40 Under 40 is an annual event that recognizes emerging leaders who demonstrate personal and/or professional impact through leadership in the Northern Virginia region.

The annual ranking of Forbes Best Management Consulting Firms surveyed thousands of partners and senior executives to determine the top firms. Excella has been named as one of the 222 firms with the most recommendations for the past three years. The top firms have been divided into 16 functional areas, including strategy and digital transformation.


USCIS Director’s Pioneer Award

Excella worked alongside USCIS, NTIS, the DOC, the USDS, 18F, and others to design and deploy myUSCIS, an innovative web application that changed the way people accessed immigration services. The myUSCIS team was honored with The Director’s Pioneer Award which recognizes and honors teams that exemplify ingenuity and innovation while reinventing the way that USCIS delivers services.



FedHealthIT Innovation Award

(HHS OIG, 2020)

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) was selected as a 2020 Innovation Award Winner by FedHealth IT for delivering multiple mission-critical initiatives including the HHS OIG Platform Modernization, Software Modernization, and the Grants Analytics Portal (GAP). Excella is honored to have worked alongside the HHS Office of the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and others to modernize, transform, and develop this innovative platform that brings modern data solutions to support grants oversight for the entire Agency.


Igniting Innovation Award

(ACT-IAC 2016, 2017)

Igniting Innovation is the premier annual awards event to showcase innovations to improve services for citizens and government operations at the federal, state, and local level, and industry. This event is intended to recognize the best-of-the-best, solve important problems, and showcase those ideas and successes.

  • Excella, along with DHS and USCIS, won the 2016 ACT-IAC Igniting Innovation Award for the USCIS myUSCIS Program beating 40 top finalists to claim the prestigious award.
  • Excella, along with DHS, USCIS and NTIS won the 2017 ACT-IAC Igniting Innovation Award for the USCIS Verification Program beating 30 top finalists (narrowed down from 110 submissions).

Vault Consulting 50

We were named to the Vault Consulting 50  in 2018.  More than 9,000 survey responses from 60 North American firms ranked key influencing factors such as compensation, culture, promotions, work/life balance, and hours in the office (we were recognized in those last two areas too)!
