Overview:
We are currently looking for passionate Scrum Masters to serve agile teams. The ideal candidate meets a team and client where they’re at, helps them develop high morale, facilitates consistent delivery, and fosters continual improvement within their team and the broader system.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a culture of experimentation, continuous-learning, self-organization, and empathy within your team.
- Enable the success of your team’s long-term and short-term goals by facilitating ceremonies, fostering sustainability, and helping the team improve the flow of work through their system.
- Champion transparency by radiating information that guides teams through meaningful conversations and collaborative decision making.
- Create an environment of psychological safety and equal voice across your team.
- Coach team members through their agile journey, adjusting your stance based on a team’s collective personality, experience, and needs.
- Invest in understanding pain-points, desires, and intrinsic motivations of team members; use this knowledge to improve team morale and cohesion.
- Work to continuously improve your team, regardless of their level of maturity.
Qualifications:
- Agile expertise; you have a strong understanding of servant leadership, the Agile Manifesto's values and principles, and one or more agile frameworks.
- A high degree of initiative; you will readily jump in to support any team.
- A high degree of flexibility; you can tailor agile practices and your facilitation style based on the context of the team and organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; you excel at team building, one-on-one conversations, and issue resolution.
- Strong communication skills; you can clearly present complex information verbally and visually to team members, management, and stakeholders.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills; you find creative ways to improve your team and identify problems that aren’t immediately visible.
- A positive attitude; you remain upbeat while under pressure, serving as a steady and motivating presence for your team.
- A relentless drive for continuous improvement.
