Earlier this year, Excellian Doguhan Uluca spoke about delivering a responsive and modern web client based on emerging technologies in an MVVM architecture.  There was a lot of useful tips for creating a lean MVVM-based application architecture, with specifics on Breeze, Knockout, and Require with Javascript.  As a follow-up to Doguhan’s presentation, he also wrote an article on using the MVVM pattern to build responsive web apps quickly.  We thought we’d share this article again because it turned out to be one of the most important topics for our clients in 2013.  Read the article to get an introduction to MVVM, comparisons of MVC and MVVM, and a preview of some popular frameworks that support an MVVM-based approach to web application development.

What software development topics were the most important for your projects and clients in 2013?  We’d love to hear about them in the comments!

Here are the slides from Doguhan’s original presentation.
