Excella’s Workplace Culture Honored with Multiple Awards

Company recognized by the Washington Post and International Association of Business Communicators

Arlington, Virginia June 21, 2024 – Excella, a leading Agile technology and innovation firm, today announced two recent award honors for their excellence in workplace culture. The company was named to the Washington Post Top Workplaces list for 2024 and their annual strategy and culture-building event, ExcellaVision, was named a Gold Quill winner of Merit.

The Washington Post Top Workplaces list is compiled based on the results of employee surveys conducted by employee engagement firm Energage, LLC. Top companies are selected based on survey responses on topics ranging from employee development to innovation. Excella’s responses put the company among the highest ranked workplaces in the region out of 500+ organizations participating in the program. Survey responses also earned Excella a place on Energage’s 10 Top Workplaces for Remote Work and  the Top Workplaces USA lists for 2024.

The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Gold Quill Awards recognize programs that have made a demonstrable impact on their companies and stakeholders. Excella wanted to ensure that employees were aware of, understood, and bought into corporate strategy, vision, and values. ExcellaVision was created as an event where the entire company of more than 300 employees could come together in-person and virtually for an interactive presentation and exploration of company plans and values. The full day event includes community service activities for both onsite and remote employees. Following ExcellaVision, 90% of Excellians reported that they understood Excella’s strategy, 86% responded that they felt the strategy and vision will position the firm for success, and 90% felt more connected to each other.

“Attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional Excellians is a key focus for our team and having our efforts recognized is incredibly gratifying,” said Burton White, Excella CEO and co-founder. “We’re ensuring every Excellian has visibility into our vision and a say as to how we deliver on it. ExcellaVision is one example of creating opportunities for employee to grow their skills and career alongside the growth of Excella.”
