Leveraging UI/UX to help homeless teens

A group of Excella consultants teamed up with True Colors Fund to implement mySpot, an online initiative to help homeless youth in Washington D.C. The mySpot project started as a basic search engine, but has evolved into a website where users can use their location to find resources, services, and agencies nearby.

The mySpot project was presented during Opportunity Project Demo Day on November 29th at the United States Census Bureau. Next steps include adding a mobile-friendly component to the website and expanding the search results beyond the current radius of 60 miles outside of D.C.

Thank you to the core team of Excellians who contributed to this effort.
