Dane Weber, Software Development Manager at Excella, has served many roles over the last two decades in the software development world, including software developer, Agile coach, product owner, Scrum Master, business analyst, and account owner. In addition to his expertise in software development, he brings years of experience in broader IT fields, including website development, database admin, sysadmin, and tech support roles.
Prior to supporting the team at the Internal Revenue Service’s Office of the CTO, Dane led teams at various client programs to develop high-performing teams at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. His contributions led to the successful modernization of the agency’s award-winning myUSCIS and E-Verify systems.
Dane is passionate about bringing improvements to software systems and human systems alike, often drawing upon his training in Clinical Psychology. He seeks to help teams achieve greater levels of performance, while assessing programs and organizations to improve and adapt the overall system to mitigate risk and accelerate value.
Dane is a certified Agile Coach, Scrum Master, and Scrum Developer, who shares his experiences at Agile conferences and events. His talks range from software modernization strategies to building effective team dynamics. In addition to technology and Agile certifications, Dane also holds a Master in Clinical Psychology.
