Market Vice President, Strategic Growth

Gavin Gollehon, Market Vice President of Strategic Growth, joined Excella in May 2021, focusing on initiatives that expand the firm’s services to federal agencies. Since joining, he has secured net new clients via prime contracts at the Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, subcontracts at IRS, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and Transportation Security Administration, and expanded Excella’s footprints at the Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (HHS OIG) and the Office of Personnel Management.

For the past 15 years, Gavin has worked across federal agencies to help clients achieve their mission objectives. Prior to joining Excella, he led strategic growth initiatives for one of three Business Units within CGI Federal charged with expanding the company’s footprint across the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Agency for International Development, U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of Energy, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the U.S. Department of Education. In this role, he oversaw all large-scale capture efforts, formalized and refined the BU’s pursuit processes, and played a pivotal leadership role in both the BU and the company’s corporate growth strategy.

Gavin previously served in strategic growth leadership positions at Attain, Hitachi Vantara Federal, and General Dynamics Information Technology—including GDIT legacy companies CSRA and CSC. Before focusing his career on business development, Gavin led program teams at CSC where he helped the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Water Laboratory Alliance earn two Silver Medals for Superior Service and improved the Nation’s public health preparedness efforts through work at the Association of Public Health Laboratories.

Gavin earned a Master of Public Health from Eastern Virginia Medical School and Old Dominion University, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Promotion from East Carolina University.
